Isaac's paragraph describing someone without naming names. "Je suis un bon ami.  Il est court.  Il a les cheveux fonce et...

Happy Birthday John

By Leslie Parks - Wednesday, October 20, 2010
I have been blessed to celebrate my husband's birthday every year for the last 20 years!  He is an incredibly talented guy.  He is patient with the kids and especially me.  He is sweet and sometimes romantic.  He is always learning something and looks at life with a postive note.  He strives to have Godly character and models that behavior for the kids...

Fireside

By Leslie Parks - Monday, October 18, 2010
Every year we have a bon fire in our backyard.  I usually don't go out there.  It makes me nervous - pointy sticks, flaming marshmallows and kids just do not seem like they go together.  Last night however John talked me into hanging out by the fire.  At first it was all about flaming pointed gooey sticks but then it graduated to poking...

It's called Learn New Things Daily.  Last year I just dabbled in it, wrote down a couple things here and there.  This year I figured if the kids were going...

Ghosting

By Leslie Parks - Saturday, October 09, 2010
One year, some one rang our doorbell and left a cute little treat at our door.  I made a copy of the information and then we decorated bags and ghosted a couple other people.  This year the kids started talking about ghosting so I found our ghosting sheet, made these cute little bags, invited some friends and went ghosting in our neighborhood.  John...

Middle School Soccer

By Leslie Parks - Wednesday, October 06, 2010
This year soccer has really changed for us.  Ok, it's just this season but it has changed.  Instead of soccer practice for three kids at night, it's just Job and Lona that have evening soccer practice.  Isaac has practice everyday afterschool.  He is playing for the Vista Vikings.  The soccer team is small so he starts every game and sometimes plays the whole game. ...
