Our kids have been attending Awana since Isaac was 6 1/2.  We just love this program.  The kids learn Bible verses and rules at home are reinforced with Bible verses and stories.  Awana starts in the fall around the same time as school starts and it goes until May.  Every Wednesday I load up the van with kids, ours and friends and drive to Awana.  Sometimes we review verses on the way, sometimes they sing songs like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (just to drive me crazy), sometimes we discuss life and lately we play VW.  You know, you punch someone everytime you see a VW (not just a bug).  One time a boy said that he wasn't going to get married and then realized that if he didn't he'd have to do laundry, cook dinner, and clean his house so he figured that he would have to get married.  How boyish. 
Last week it was wheelie dealie night.  All the kids bring something to ride - bikes, scooters, rollerblades, skateboards, usually anything with wheels, hence the name wheelie dealie.  I do have a child that has to be different - pogo stick. So others had to try it too.  I should have brought John's pogo stick. Now if you asked the kids to ride their bikes at home in a circle and ride in a circle for 1/2 hour they would complain.  But at Awana, that is exactly what they do and they love it.  They look forward to it all year.  This is the night that no kids want to miss. Our kids love it just as much as all the other kids.

Les enfants vont a AWANA chaque mercredi soir. Ca commence en autumne et fini au printemps. A AWANA, ils ont apprendre des vers de bible.  Ils ont ecouter des histories, jouer des jeus et visiter avec des autres enfants.   Un soir pres de la fin, touts les enfants prennent leurs velos, scooters, et lames de rouleau.  Isaac est differente.  Il prend son baton de pogo.  Bien sur des autre persons veulent l'essayer.  Les enfants montent leurs velos en cercle.  Ni person est manquer cette nuit.  Ils ont attendu tous l'annee pour cette nuit.  Cest le dernier annee pour Isaac.  Il a finir tous.
