A project: Computer for No. 2

No 2 decided that since No 1 built a computer and it actually worked that he would build one as well.  The only thing was that he had to wait for each paycheck to come in so that he could buy the computer parts. Finally all the parts had arrived and he cleared off the school table,  hauled out the diagram and started to assemble. His long thin fingers able to manipulate the small screws and the delicate parts so that they gently snapped into place. John couldn't help but to poke around and see what Job was doing and of course I needed to pick up my camera.  "Mom, stop already." is what I heard from him but I just had to "document" this.  It's more about my amazement that his mind thinks this way but it's probably years of practice with Legos and the fact that there are directions.  I see where you save money this way, you are able to customize the computer and you save in assembly labor.  The flip side is to compromise on certain components and purchase a "spec" computer.  I guess it's like buying a spec home rather than have a home custom built.  It's easier to get what you want with custom than to upgrade. When the final piece snapped into place, he turned it one and fired it up.  It worked and so No. 2 was able to again follow in the footsteps of No. 1.
