Job's BB gun looks like a toy in Uncle Kevin's hand.
We left Monday right after my exercise class and drove to the junction of Highway 18 and I90 where we picked up John's Dad. We stopped for gas twice, lunch once and once to shoot BB Guns. John's Dad bought Job a BB gun and he had it out of the box within 5 minutes of receiving it. Then he waited patiently for 6 hours in the van to shoot the gun. Once in Montana and off the interstate we pulled over next to the river to shoot. The boys shot into the river. I think that they could have stayed for two hours shooting. After being on the road for twelve hours we finally pulled in. Yesterday we took the guns out to shoot. John's brother Kevin grabbed a pellet gun and joined us. It was cold not even 20 degrees but that won't keep little boys from their guns. Lona even got in on the act and took a couple of shots. She was so excited that she hit the box. One thing led to another and they off hunting a squirrel that got too chatty. All you could see were little gun barrels moving between old forgotten cars aiming for the tops of the trees. Lona and I came back in for lunch and left the little boys shooting their guns and the big boys shooting their mouths. Tomorrow is another day in the country. I do have to say we had the best fresh venison steaks and gravy last night for dinner. I forgot to take a picture of the buck that was shot that morning .
