The Russian Orthodox Church in Kodiak is a renowned landmark with its white clapboard siding and blue turrets. It remains an active church, conducting sermons in Russian. While we had the opportunity to admire the exterior and catch a glimpse inside, the church was closed during the afternoon. Visiting the church and the nearby Russian Monastery, with its brown architecture resembling the turrets, had been on our bucket list.
