An Outing: Evening on Lake Whatcom

We have the boat for the reason to enjoy the lake. One way is to invite the kids' friends onto the boat and take them for a spin. There is so much joy watching them have huge smiles on their faces and we pull them across the water. It strips away their insecurities and forces them to live in the moment and I love it. I hear them laughing and shrieking and I try to capture it all on film for them. We usually start out a little slow and then ramp up as their courage increases. Sometimes kids haven't been on the water much like this and sometimes they are just crazy but it's always fun. We stuck two girls on the tube and laughed as they learned how to position themselves as they skipped across the wake back and forth. When Lona jumped on we just went full out and tried to flip her off as fast as possible.  After a couple of hours they were done. Then Lona quickly jumped on the wakeboard and was going to wakeboard to the dock but her arms were just too tired from tubing. Better start lifting weights.

Note to self: make sure the boat is off and the key is out of the ignition.  We had to use our truck battery to charge the boat while skiing.
