After having his cast on for around 4 weeks we went back to Dr. K.  They quickly called us in (not as quick as last time) to the cast room.  In this room was another gentleman with his arm in a cast which had been cut in half.  We were to share this little room no biger than my kitchen.  They cut Isaac's cast off, x-rayed his arm and left us all in this little room.  5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes and the clock kept ticking.  I was sure that some psychology student was running a test to see what people do in a room when they have to wait and given no materials to look at.  Job and Lona quickly started a game of Rock Paper Scissors (this has kept them entertained while doing various things) which metamorphises into Rock Paper Dynamite. Isaac brought a book which he had already read once. I couldn't take Rock Paper Scissors too long so I handed Job the camera and he took photos of everything.  It's always fun to see through their eyes and looking at photos the kids take gives me an opportunity to do that.  Then we chatted with the gentlemen a little bit.  Poor guy, he broke his arm about the same time as Isaac but his hadn't healed and he was looking at surgery the next day.  Yikes.  Finally I grabbed Isaac's book and started to read aloud to the kids. By the time we where done, we were hungry and full of energy.  Now Isaac just has to wear a brace and practice rotating his arm.  Still no soccer so we may sit out this week and play next week with it in the brace and wrapped. I guess we weren't supposed to play soccer while it was casted either but the Sportsplex allowed it and Isaac isn't so aggressive that he is rolling on the ground either.    Happy to be able to potentially shower well again.  You know boys, showers just about melt them.
